Bob Taylor has made it his life’s work to make fine guitars accessible to all—and this acoustic electric Taylor 414ce from 2003 is no exception.
She’s a typical Taylor, made of good tone woods—Sitka spruce on top, Ovangkol on the back and sides. She also features a Mahogany neck with an Ebony fingerboard. Plus a Fishman amplifier with Taylor controls. She’s made to play.
Seller says she has a small scuff mark but it’s hard to see in the photos. You can ask for a better shot if that bothers you.
I’m no expert on Taylor’s numbering system but I think that her serial number starts with a “2” means she was made in Tecate, Mexico. You could ask seller about that, too.
She should be a good working guitar, bright enough for coffee houses, bold enough for busking, pretty enough for any living room or studio.
