Iommi was the first artist Gibson ever chose to make a signature pick up for and what better choice could they have made? We’re talking one of the true Godfather’s of Metal, if not the one sitting at the head of the table.
Muddy usually likes his finds a little more vintage than this SG Custom that’s only a couple of months old, but I”m making an exception here. The iron-cross inlays on the ebony fingerboard and Black Sabbath insignia on the headstock push it over the top. Buy this electric metal maker and you even receive a hand-signed certificate of authenticity from Mr. Iommi himself. Coming in under $1,000 you really can’t get anymore kick ass than this Epiphone SG Custom. While you take a look Muddy’s sipping black coffee and listening to Black Sabbath. I’m starting with my personal favorite, the “Paranoid” album. Cranking that metal vinyl makes me good for at least the next hour or so.
